You can argue the merits of these ships, and how useful they'll be based on their shell arcs, gun ranges, armor, concealment and other factors.but it's dishonest to claim they have meh DPM. The Dallas has the highest HE DPM of any tier 6 cruiser. The Helena has the 2nd highest HE DPM of any Tier 7 cruiser, only 2nd to the Atlanta. The Cleveland has the 2nd highest HE DPM of any tier 8 cruiser, only narrowly behind the Mogami ![]() For reference sake it has over 100k more HE DPM than the reload mod Roon and almost double that of the Ibuki. The Seattle with reload mod active is approaching DM levels of DPM, and has the highest HE DPM of any tier 9 cruiser. That is as far as I know the highest HE DPM of any ship in the game. With these changes the Bertie Wooster no longer needs to worry about taking the range the upgrade.and with the reload mod will be approaching 400k HE DPM. IRL the USN Light Cruiser and their British counterparts had roughly the same gun range according to. ![]() I would be fine with a range of 15.4 km on the USN light cruisers the same range as the Tier VII Fiji and Tier VIII Edinburgh but a range of 14.7 km is just pathetic. This is especially frustrating when they throw meaningless buzzwords like "Historical Accuracy" as an excuse. That or they expect having the spotter plane consumable to make up for the dramatic reduction in range especially when compared to the British light cruisers, spoiler it won't. The problem is that you're forced to get that range mod in order to be competitive instead of letting you choose. This thing can mount Gun Fire Control System Modification 2 which can extend its range out to around 17km.and I really want to know who in their right mind thinks they need more than 17km range in a ship with Cleveland arcs. I really don't get why people are complaining about its max range.
